Summary

Opposites attract in this romantic comedy about a free-spirited lawyer who is determined to find the perfect match for the grumpy bachelor at her friend’s wedding

After a devastating break-up, celebrity-obsessed lawyer Zara Patel is determined never to open her heart again。 She puts her energy into building her career and helping her friends find romance through the wedding season。 She's never faced a guest at the singles table she couldn’t match, until she crosses paths with the sinfully sexy Jay Donovan。

Former military security specialist Jay has no time for love。 His life is about working hard, staying focused, and winning at all costs。 When charismatic Zara crashes into his life, he's thrown into close contact with exactly the kind of chaos he wants to avoid。 Worse, they're stuck together for the entire wedding season。

So they make a deal。 She'll find his special someone if he introduces her to his celebrity clients。 But when their arrangement brings them together in ways they never expected, they realize that the perfect match might just be their own。

One broken heart。 One grumpy bachelor。 One very sexy deal。Vibrant and celebrity-obsessed lawyer Zara Patel is dead set against ever being in a relationship again, she doesn’t see it worth the pain。 Instead she puts all her energy into building her career and helping her friends and family find love。 That is until she crosses paths with the moody Jay Dayal。 He is a former military security specialist who is far too busy to even entertain the ideas of love and relationships。 Oh, and to make it wor One broken heart。 One grumpy bachelor。 One very sexy deal。Vibrant and celebrity-obsessed lawyer Zara Patel is dead set against ever being in a relationship again, she doesn’t see it worth the pain。 Instead she puts all her energy into building her career and helping her friends and family find love。 That is until she crosses paths with the moody Jay Dayal。 He is a former military security specialist who is far too busy to even entertain the ideas of love and relationships。 Oh, and to make it worse they’re stuck together for the whole wedding season。 So in order for them to get through such a trying time for singles, they strike up a deal-Zara finds Jay his special someone, whilst he introduces her to his celebrity clients。 Simple, yeah? Well it might not be, because it turns out the perfect match might just be sitting under their noses。 This book was honestly everything and more! It had me clinging onto every page just waiting in anticipation for the next part, and when it came to the ending it had me giggling and smiling🫶🏻Sara Desai created such a beautiful and vibrant world within this book。 Her characters were well thought out and developed, with unique lives and personalities of their own, they were all so brilliant especially Zara’s aunties。 The love story between Zara and Jay was so special too, as despite being opposites at first they really did compliment each other so well and helped each other get through such hardships。 Their story is reassurance for anyone who has ever felt unworthy of love or felt like they were ever too much for someone❤️ 。。。more

I really liked this! I enjoyed Zara’s character a lot, even if she was very ~quirky~ but I never felt like she was a manic pixie dream girl。 She was just full of life and I understood why everyone seemed to gravitate towards her。 Jay took longer to grow on me, because he seemed very dedicated to being emotionally stunted and denying he had any issues he needs to work on even though he literally has PTSD。 But whatever。 Their grumpy/sunshine vibes really worked on me and I laughed out loud all the I really liked this! I LOVED THIS BOOK!! i don’t know why i put it off so long。 it’s so well written, with lovable characters and amazing romance chemistry。 i love the “opposites attract” trope in this novel。 it reminds me of the janine and gregory from abbott elementary。 the slow burn and tension is just right and doesn’t drag on。 this book is truly underrated and deserves so much recognition。 10/10 recommend!

Loved this book just as much as Sara’s book The Dating Plan!

WOW! Such an amazing book, has such good details and just knows how to speak to the reader。 One of Sarah’s best books in my opinion, and I love how the 3 connected books just add little mentions of another book, I definitely freaked when I was a little connection to The Dating Plan。 Love this book, would recommend on a heartbeat。

3。5 Zara was honestly a little off putting。 I know her whole deal was that she was "too much", but my gosh she was TOO MUCH。Jay was driven, and seeing him thaw and come to terms with his past and his insecurities was the bright spot in this book for me。There were some great moments, but it could have benefited from some major editing。 Zara, especially。 Good gracious she was a LOT。 3。5 Zara was honestly a little off putting。 I know her whole deal was that she was "too much", but my gosh she was TOO MUCH。Jay was driven, and seeing him thaw and come to terms with his past and his insecurities was the bright spot in this book for me。There were some great moments, but it could have benefited from some major editing。 Zara, especially。 Good gracious she was a LOT。 。。。more

4。5🌟 to be exact is what I rated this book!——————————————————Loved it so much!!🫶🏻I laughed so much while reading thisI actually had a history exam like on Sunday and I was depressed like hating every history that was ever made and written be we had to know all the dates and they were confusing like "In 1985 on the 5th month of the year" and then "1985, the 8th month of the year" my head was dizzy so I gave up and read a page and instantly my mood improved even my sis who also had a history exam( 4。5🌟 to be exact is what I rated this book!——————————————————Loved it so much!!🫶🏻I laughed so much while reading thisI actually had a history exam like on Sunday and I was depressed like hating every history that was ever made and written be we had to know all the dates and they were confusing like "In 1985 on the 5th month of the year" and then "1985, the 8th month of the year" my head was dizzy so I gave up and read a page and instantly my mood improved even my sis who also had a history exam( depressed too) thought I was crazy😭The characters were just so funny and felt real to meLike Zara brightened my day and she reminded me of Zahra from "The fine print" however just more clumsier🙃I enjoyed how even though she was optimistic, she also has dark moments of her life, sad ones which made her feel more real to meAnd how she didn't want to confirm her relationship with Jay until she got over her painful memories and how Jay wanted to become better so took a huge step and asked for helpTheir relationship was literally perfect, not in the sense that they didn't have any problems but where they do have traumas and problems but they're learning to solve them to becomes better for themselves and the people that care about themEven the side character made me feel connected to them and always made me have a smile on my face! The aunties 😩🫶🏻They were the funniest and literally the best aunties anyone can ask for!Zara's best friend was the definition of a real friend🫱🏻‍🫲🏼Jay's mother and her boyfriend(Rick) made me laugh a lot and loved their chill vibes>>This book contains a grumpy x sunshine trope which I loved!Like Jay is a grumpy man, to the point that he hides his funny and sweet side under the indifference pretense he always carries be of the many traumas he faced Then we have Zara which is like a day of sunshine shining so bright that no one notices the pain she holds from her past——————————————————In total, this book is definitely on the list that I'd recommend eveyone to read!! 。。。more

It is a cute romance and the spice is decent。 however the low rating is purely because of zara。 she gave me the energy of people who act like they are in relationships and adore all of the romantic benefits but refuse to claim they are in a relationship, and that infuriated me。 i would not recommend this to someone but i also would not tell someone to not read this i guess。

You can tell when the author is trying to be funny。。。it's not working。 The main character is painted as someone outgoing and vibrant, but the character just came across as trying too hard to be "quirky。" The male lead was a pretty stereotypical and generic character trope。 The story seemed to lose its premise。 Zara was supposed to be matchmaker for Jay, but it was obvious that Jay didn't even want that from the beginning。 What was the point?? Like this went NO WHERE。 The literal summary of this You can tell when the author is trying to be funny。。。it's not working。 The main character is painted as someone outgoing and vibrant, but the character just came across as trying too hard to be "quirky。" The male lead was a pretty stereotypical and generic character trope。 The story seemed to lose its premise。 Zara was supposed to be matchmaker for Jay, but it was obvious that Jay didn't even want that from the beginning。 What was the point?? Another fun and wholesome romcom。 This book has matchmaking Indian aunties, a matchmaking main character, relatable characters including great cultural Indian traditions that have a lot of similarities to my culture。

omg THIS BOOK! Zara is such a ball of energy, I loved her SO MUCH。 And when we were introduced to Jay I was like YASSS opposites attract! These two are so different it's scary, but they bring a much needed balance to each other's lives。 I thoroughly enjoyed watching these two go from wedding to wedding, getting closer and closer despite how they both thought they needed someone else to be their partner。 The writing was amazing, so many funny and sweet moments, highly recommend this book! omg THIS BOOK!
